Zia (Jen) took her first belly dance lesson in the early 90s in the basement of the former Arsenic and Old Lace in Cambridge, MA. 

 

Since
then, she's studied various forms of the dance over the decades, performing in venues as varied as the Athenian Corner Restaurant in Lowell, to the Geeky Bellydance Show at the Arisia Science Fiction Convention, to the Watch City Steampunk Festival, to the HONK! parade, and haflas all over New England.

 

Currently, she performs both as a
soloist and as a member of Divergence Dance Collective, and studies with
Baseema and Kaylin.
